With the new year, everyone has New Year’s Resolutions of losing weight, being healthier and feeling more fit. But, truth be told, most of your promises fly out the window by January 31st! So I have a better idea. Swap out self-defeating lofty resolutions, for simple daily intentions. The internal energy is subtle, but profoundly different – and that’s what will make your efforts and actions more successful for you! “Resolutions” remind you that you’ve done something wrong (negative energy) all this time and now you feel bad about it, while “intentions” are open-hearted and encouraging (positive energy) to start anew. There is less dismay and guilt involved. Intentions happily guide you to DO one thing better today than yesterday, and one LESS bad thing today than yesterday. Make an intention each day, instead of overwhelming yourself to do everything all at once. Trying to do a complete overhaul will overwhelm you. You probably won’t even make it to January 31st!
